Market Centre Holiday Extravaganza in Reno, NV

Bon Sales & Marketing just got back from this week after participating in the Market Centre Holiday Extravaganza at the Grand Sierra Resort. Great venue.

We had 4 booths at the show this year… Haley’s Quick Mix, Sonoma Gourmet, Hawaiian Springs and Sol Bliss.

As always, it was great seeing the Market Centre sales team and getting buyers feedback on all of our product lines. The show was a great success this year, lots of orders, positive feedback, and tons of leads to follow up on.

Mike Hudson Holiday Fair

Bon Sales & Marketing will be participating at the year’s Mike Hudson Holiday Fair on Thursday September 15th, 2011 at the Sheraton Petaluma from 3:00pm until 7:00pm. We will be displaying a number of new items from Sukhi’s Gourmet Indian Cuisine, a local Hayward, CA food manufacturer. We are rolling out an exciting assortment of fully prepared/fully cooked “heat and serve” meals including Indian, Thai and Mediterranean. The meals are packed 6/15oz and are absolutely delicious…. restaurant quality food with at home convenience. In addition we will be displaying our Naanwiches, Roti Rolls, and Chutney. Hope to see you there!

A broker is an independent sales agent that negotiates sales for manufacturers of food, beverage and or other consumer goods. We provide a service to the manufacturing community by selling and promoting their products with chain wholesalers, independent wholesalers and retail accounts. These product manufacturers often find it more effective and less expensive to employ brokers as an extension of their sales arm rather than handle it directly. Brokers allow manufacturers to eliminate the additional costs associated with paying a sales staff to handle this task. Since brokers represent a large number of product manufacturers in chorus, the wholesalers and retailers also save time, energy and money by dealing with one broker rather than with many manufacturers’ representatives.

Another service that brokers provide is keeping product manufacturers up-to-date on local market conditions, specifically those occurring in their specialized market regions. Brokers work to increase their sales volume and achieve the greatest possible distribution of the products they represent. Brokers may help wholesalers and retailers develop sufficient inventories of various products and offer suggestions on store displays and other means of promotion. Additional responsibilities typically include demo scheduling, display and merchandising, communication, record keeping, product training (to wholesalers and retailers), group presentations and advertising.
